Microsoft Dynamics GP is a full-fledged ERP suite /financial accounting application for small to midsized businesses. Microsoft Dynamics GP delivers out of the box functionality that enables businesses to manage their financials, supply chain, project accounting, discrete manufacturing and human resources.
The current version of Microsoft Dynamics GP available for new customers is 2016.
Microsoft Dynamics GP 2016 has two server packs. Starter Pack and Extended Pack. Starter Pack includes 3 full users. Additional users can be purchased on a need basis. Starter Pack provides all the basic functionality required to manage Financials, Supply Chain and Distribution of businesses.
Extended Pack is optional and one-time license irrespective of number of users required in addition to the annual enhancement charges. Extended Pack is required only if the business requirements of companies demand advanced capabilities such as Project Accounting, Manufacturing, customization suite and so on.
Every license of Microsoft Dynamics includes an annual enhancement fee payable to Microsoft and for the first year this is mandatory. Annual enhancement service plans protect your Dynamics GP investment in the form of receiving the application version updates, bug fixes, service packs and other regular benefits from Microsoft.
Microsoft Dynamics GP 2016 is built upon perpetual licensing model. Two types of users are available. Full User and Limited User. Limited user has read only access to Dynamics GP.

Users can connect remotely to your local servers or cloud servers through Remote Desktop services. If you deploy Dynamics GP web app, users can simply access Dynamics GP through a web browser.
SQL Server being the Database server for Microsoft Dynamics GP, regular backups can be scheduled or on demand backups can be taken anytime by your IT administrators and we can help you schedule these backups. These backups can be stored in variety of storage devices. Dynamics GP provides an option to store backups directly in Microsoft Azure Cloud.

Being a Microsoft product, Dynamics GP provides a range of flexible user friendly reporting tools. Smart list, an inbuilt reporting tool in Dynamics GP helps user to generate data from default lists or build ad hoc queries which are easily exportable to Microsoft Excel. A Business Analyzer which is a free tool provides great KPIs’ inbuilt Dynamics GP. Several reports are available from SQL Server Reporting services and you can build unlimited reports using Report Designer in SSRS. Management Reporter, a proprietary Microsoft product is available free of cost to Dynamics GP customers helps build, schedule and generate complex financial reports such as Balance sheet, Profit and Loss, Cash flow with ease. Besides these tools, Dynamics GP customers can also choose from several third party BI tools to build extensive reporting.
Microsoft Dynamics GP typically works with Windows devices. If you’re on a MAC device, you can access it through a remote desktop.
